Till West & DJ Delicious - Same Man

This is one of those tunes that just makes you sit up and take notice when you hear it. As soon as I heard it I knew it was going to be this week's Tune of the Week. An infectious bassline and a catchy vocal are both present, and it was a tough call, but the original mix just gets the nod over the Sharam Jey (of Deep Dish) remix. They are both highly recommended!

Bodyrox - Yeah Yeah (Turbo House MIx)

I don't think 'Turbo House' are a remix outfit, so I guess the remix title refers to it's sound. I've no idea what 'turbo house' sounds like, but I think it's a great name for a genre, and this tune doesn't really conform too closely to a genre anyway! It has a retro piano sound with a load of scratching and vocals over the top. Sounds like a recipie for disaster, but it works a treat!

Summerfunk ft. Gemma J - If You Still Cared

I had a little rant at the start of this year about how house tunes seem to mindlessly sample 80's songs. This tune shows us how to do it properly, although I never thought I'd be writing about a tune on here that samples 'Club Tropicana'! It only samples the backing vocal, with the song itself being on a completely different theme. It's very cleverly done and it will be instantly recognisable, but for all the right reasons!

DJ Disciple - Yes (Ian Carey Remix)

Unashamedly happy tune this one, with a summery feel to it. With a remixed tune, you are never sure how much credit to give to the remixer and how much to give to the producer. I haven't heard the original, so can't comment, but Ian Carey has been on form over the last year, and this has his trademark sound, so maybe he has worked his magic once again!
